Ex Infernis

This image is a source of happiness in my home. The global-warming orange glow you see is the heating coil in my clothes dryer. I fixed the old one about a dozen times when it kept breaking. Then one time my wife said it got too hot and wouldn't use it anymore.

Not that she could have, since the thermal fuse had gone.

A week later, having spent a couple hours' wages on eBay (thanks shopXmart!) to aqcuire a day's wages worth of parts, and the dryer is back up. With the exhaust air entirely tolerably cool (hot, but not burning), the operating thermostat switched off and the orange glow died off.

YAY!
