The Large Hadron Collider had a helium leak almost immediately after it was first fired up. It was shut down. They are going to fix it.
Some scientists say it will be safe, and not to worry if the black holes it might generate stick around for a while, because they will go through the planet and end up harmlessly in space.
Others say, they'll last long enough (>1 second) to collect mass and we're screwed.
God says the world will end in fire, so a Christian need not worry about a black hole. Nuclear war, a meteor strike, maybe, but not a microscopic black hole. I'm more concerned about mass starvation a year from now from the global depression, personally, but we'll see what happens.
