I repeat (again) that those who want the true picture of what is happening in world's economic news should read Michael Shedlock's Global Economic Trend Analysis. But when you look at the real news and the news is bad, it can be depressing to read.

USA Gross Domestic Product last quarter: the government is reporting a 2.2% growth rate. Depending on how you look at the numbers, try a true GDP of 0% for Q1 2012.
