Travis County Election Day May 9, 2009 Voter Turnout

Travis County officials are expecting approximately 10 to 12 percent turnout.

10%.

10% turnout is how we ended up being the San Fransisco of Texas. 10% turnout is how Leslie even has a prospect of getting on the ballot. 10% is why bicyclists are more important in the city council than automobiles.

You know who votes in an election with 10% turnout? Old people, environmentalist whackos, special interest action groups, and about nobody else except me, apparently.

This here is my Official Big Hearty F-CK YOU to the 90% of "normal" people who can't be bothered to turn out and vote on election day. Your great-grandfather would be ashamed of you. After he beat you with a his cane. Ungrateful b-stards.

You all deserve whatever you get. May your chains rest heavy on your cowardly shoulders. I consider myself unfortunate to have been your countryman.
