This is a rare sight on this side of the Atlantic Ocean. It's an IMI UZI pistol. This unit is a Model 45, a modified Model B with different sights and chambered in .45ACP. About 5,000 of these were imported (according to the Internet). This one comes with a magazine, and that right there is a $150 bonus these days.
As far as I can tell, the appeal is that it is politically incorrect. I can't see that it's any more handy than any other pistol, and carbines can be had in much more comfortable-to-shoot packages. BEHOLD!
One minor concern for me: this thing is frikken HEAVY compared to, for example, a .45 Glock, and the selector only has F and S positions. Sure you could change the barrel and make it a SBR or carbine, and you could add a stock and whatnot. Then it's still a heavy, semi automatic-only, chunky, NON-ergonomic weapon.
This one is in pretty good cosmetic condition overall.
Until you look at the grip and the muzzle. I don't know why the muzzle might be in the white, but it looks like the gun was dropped on its grips one time. Mechanical condition seems good.
The sights are adjustable for windage and elevation, which considering the nature of the beast seems a little silly to me.
This is the genuine article, not a knock-off. That means it is still a stamped-steel block of uncomfortable, without the capability for select-fire. What good is an UZI if it isn't even a machine gun? At least the bore is literally mirror-bright. When I was shooting these photos, I couldn't figure out why all the bore shots looked terrible. Then I realized that the funky lines are reflections. There are no scratches in there, but the internal reflections are legion.
Available until it's not. Get it while it lasts.
