This makes the third story I've seen recently about prominent people from Iran doing pro-humanity/anti-iran-government stuff being targeted or killed on US soil.
The government or military (or both) of Iran has an agent or a team here, killing people Iran finds inconvenient, and not only do we know about it, we probably have our suspicions who it is, but the timing is wrong to tip our hand.
International espionage: not confined to the 1960s US/USSR cold war.

It's Specifically NOT an Election Year Popularity-Boosting Ploy
US SECDEF says we don't think Iran is trying to make nuclear weapons.
But Iran controls the straits until their fleet is blown up
at which point China jumps in
and oil skyrockets
and the globe sinks deeper into depression.
The timing of this will let you know just how it works. If Iran is looking mighty next war-ish and Obama takes a bump in the polls because of being the Commander in Chief when it happens, this is an election year wag the dog ploy. Then if he loses and it blows up, the Republicrat in the White House will get the blame for the war we would be dragged into.
What's the worst that could happen?

Setting the Stage for Armageddon?
China has an army that could easily march a few million men into Israel. Israel will (if you read it that way) be the location of a battle that will include so many casualties that blood flows as deep as a horse's bridle for 200 miles.
But China has nothing to do with Israel! Why would China figure into the last battle just before the return of Jesus to Earth? They wouldn't, right? It was always some sort of vague "they'll come from the Kings of the North" type of thing. Until now.
China says they'll protect Iran even if it starts World War Three. Iran, of course, is on Israel's short list of "Nations to attack before they wipe us off the map." WWIII here we come.
********
The maths are open for debate(check the comments!). Depending on how you run your made-up numbers, it could be about the right volume of blood to mean everyone left on Earth dying in the same place. That seems . . . perhaps high to me.

Israel Grows A Pair?
Alternate headline: Israel suspects Obama is as much their ally as he seems to be
Having shown himself friendly to the current tyrannical regime in the islamic republic of Iran, and cool at best toward our ally Israel, it is entirely possible that Israel is afraid that notifying the USA of an incipient attack would be the same thing as telling Iran directly that the attack is coming. Would YOU trust the current White House information sieve to keep it on the hush for a day or three? For an hour?
So. Israel is reportedly refusing to tell The Obama in advance when they launch the upcoming strike on the peaceful adherents to the religion of peace. Oh, and the radio news says they may go at Iran as soon as before this Christmas. Some say by next summer. At any rate, Israel is apparently getting ready to launch their third pre-emptive strike against a neighbor which is working up the capability to wipe Israel off the face of the planet.
Well it is setting the USA up for a huge, horrible bad call. Fortunately it's an election year and public opinion polling may force President Obama to make the right call and support our friends. It would not be out of character for President Obama to denounce the attack after the fact, and even to go so far as to un-friend Israel. It would be a very bad idea but not very surprising if he refused to allow further arms sales to Israel and cut off foreign aid. If Obama starts talking about taking or allowing military action against Israel, you will know that Very Bad Things are on the way.
Let me make a few very-nearly-unqualified statements: I am for Israel. I am against those nations which are against Israel. I acknowledge Israel has a right to exist as a nation, and the Jews have a right to life. "Now let me be clear:" I support Israel taking pre-emptive military action against nations which seek to destroy him.
Including the USA. God forbid it should come to that.
********
In related news, Unexpectedly (surprise!) Iran - and let me tell you I was shocked, shocked to hear this, Iran has been working on a nuclear weapon project. Who knew, right? I mean, they kept insisting that they wanted nuclear power for peaceful electricity generation! What an unforeseen turn of events this is!
********
P.S. How is Leon Panetta the Secretary of Defense? SRSLY? There's more retreads in this administration boy, I tell you what!

"I Cannot"
A man is to be killed by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
For his belief in Jesus Christ.
The United States' department of State has no comment.
I speak with Speaker Boehner in condemning Iran for even HAVING this law.
Look out when the last judgment comes around.
Do not hold your breath waiting for this story on the news tonight.

Push Back. You Will Win.
The Crusades taught us that if Good People push back against islam, islam stops advancing. That lesson has been re-taught (again) in the non-murder of a woman who was to be stoned to death for adultery in Iran.
The world heard about it and cried foul, and the islamists backed off. For now. She still might "oops" fall a few stories off a balcony or disappear into a prison with no "exit" door, but for now, Iran has caved.

Timing Test: Hillary, Barry, Are You Paying Attention?
The soviets Russians have just begun delivering the (80 tons of) fuel for Iran's nuclear reactor. You know, the one that could be used as is claimed for peaceful power generation, or could be modified to make nuclear bomb-making materials. Next up, the announcement of an unmanned aircraft capable of delivering bombs to Iran's enemies.
Iran is poking Israel and the USA in the eye to see what will happen. If "nothing" happens, expect increasingly bold announcements of military might and ambition from Iran until Israel "unexpectedly" goes up in smoke.
I'm guessing Israel will react before we do. And I remember that they have a history of blowing up nuclear reactors in nearby islamic countries, as a preventative measure (to prevent themselves glowing in the dark).
We'll see what happens this time.

Israeli Jets Given Overflight Permission for Saudi Arabia?!
Oh REeeeeealy!
Have a quick look at a map, and you will see that it would be very convenient for Israel to have permission to overfly Saudi Arabia on the way to turning Iran into a glass factory. It is rumored that such permission has been given. It is rumored such permission has NOT been given, and would never be. Let's go over a couple of pertinent bits of trivia shall we?
Saudi Arabia could not stop Israel from overflying its sovereign territory. Israel could pave Saudi Arabia and the Saudis know it.
Saudi Arabia doesn't like having a crazy guy with his finger on the Big Red Button for a neighbor any more than Israel does.
Saudi Arabia wouldn't cry too many tears if a competing source for oil were to be bombed off the world market for a while.
Israel is going to have to nuke Iran, probably sooner rather than later.
The message coming from the Saudi military is entirely likely to be different from the message out of the royal family. They are not quite as unified as the USA's establishment.
If the royal family gave lip service to airspace refusal, and the military gave airspace permission, the military's permission would win because the princes don't have the missiles, the military does
It would take less than an hour for Israeli jets to go across, drop ordnance on target, and then less than an hour again to go back across the Arabian peninsula. If the Saudi military wanted to save face in the Islamic world, they could be "oops, too slow" as the jews were flying over, and then protest loudly after the missions were flown.
This could be interesting. It could also be the start of Armageddon. Don't forget that one of our historic worst enemies is a big trading partner with Iran. Another of their trading partners is the world's most populous country with a spare 30,000,000 male citizens just waiting to become cannon fodder.

Next Up: Invading Iran!
We have to gin up public support for it, though, so here's the first of many stories: The Taliban is training in Iran.
We are fighting an undeclared war with the Taliban
They are training in Iran
Iran is a bunch of doody-heads anyhow,
So I guess it's time for us all to start singing "Barbara Ann" with revised lyrics like they did a couple of decades ago.

NATO Gives Iran Enriched Uranium?!!
For Iran to meet with Brazil and Turkey and come to this agreement is a disparaging gesture toward President Obama. and I hope the news hits Barry like a sack of bricks.
********
Related stories? You decide. Nato unveils new mission statement that involves keeping Iran from developing the bomb. Iran comes to an agreement in talks with Brazil and Turkey on the disposition of its low enriched uranium.
So, we are going to allow this? Or are we going to be the world's Nanny In Chief some more? Iran has agreed to give up 3.5% enriched uranium to be held out of country, in exchange for 20% enriched uranium ostensibly "for peaceful purposes" to run a reactor making chemotherapy poison. This is the part where we all are supposed to breathe a sigh of relief because for some reason Iran is supposed to be unable to convert this 20% Uranium to 90%. Color me skeptical.
The next couple of years will be veeeeeeery interesting, when it comes to what happens with this deal, and what happens to all that Uranium.

Reassurance From Your Allies: Not This Time, Israel
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was asked if, should Israel fly attack planes over Iraq (through the no-fly zone) to Iran, we would shoot them down.
He didn't want to go into the hypothetical.
Perhaps a bolder leader and more staunch ally of our ally would have said "We're not in the business of shooting down Israeli jets," but that's not what we have right now.

Iranian Cruise Missile, What's The Worst That Could Happen?
Iran is working up a short-range cruise missile. . . .
So? Let Israel worry about Iran! We're all the way around the planet, WAY out of range!
. . . which they plan on being able to deploy from a ship or a submarine. Are you 2,000 miles or less from the nearest ocean? If so, why are you not demanding pre-emptive strikes on Iran?
Their nuclear fuel enrichment program is for peaceful purposes, VFD!
Right. That's why they are trying to get 90% enriched uranium. For peace. Just please be aware, for islamists, peace can only come AFTER you are dead or converted to islam. Also remember it is called The ISLAMIC Republic of Iran . . .

Iran Declares Itself A Nuclear State
Let's say you know a fellow with a history of being in and out of jail for murdering people he didn't like. That fellow hates, and has said he wants to kill, you. He is out of prison again. He has just called you on the phone and told you he bought a gun five minutes ago from a crackhead on the street. He hasn't said he is coming to kill you right this minute. You call the Police and they say they can't do anything until he actually makes a threat. They say they can't find a record of him having a gun, and it would be illegal for him to get one anyway. They don't believe you that he is armed and wants to kill you.
What are you going to do about it?
This is the situation in which Israel finds herself. Iran says they are -->.<-- this close to being able to wipe israel off the map. The international community says we need to verify the claim and the global police force (the USA via the UN) says they don't think the Iranians are a serious threat. Israel has previously bombed nuclear weapons research & development sites in Iraq and Syria (Islamic states dedicated to the destruction of the hated jooooo, like Iran).
Stand by for "unexpected" news of Israel bombing the everlovin' shit outta the nuclear facilities of Iran. I say good on them for it and more power to 'em.

This Is Why Democrats Like Gun Control:
In Iran, tens of thousands (at least) of students* protested the stolen disputed Iranian Presidential election just past. The police clamped down on them and stones were thrown and fires set.
You know what is the difference between students being beaten and teargassed for throwing rocks, and a President being forced from office due to his private police force having been wiped out? Privately owned rifles.
If the people had widespread access to arms, the Ahmedinacrazyguy regime would have been overthrown already.
********
*I still don't get why student protests are sucha big deal. If they knew anything, they wouldn't be in school, they would be worming their way into government offices through the front and back doors. Change the system from within! That's how the communists are destroying America. Students are about as low on the political pecking order as the rocks they throw . . . or am I missing something?

"It's Not Sexual! It's Nice!"
From Yahoo! News
Iran test-fires a surface-to-surface missile that can reach into Russia and Southern Europe. Israel is well inside that envelope. That is, the same Iran that was just discovered to have another nuclear weapons material manufacturing plant. Exposed (in part) by our guy who is still saying we want to put daisies down their rifle barrels.
That would be the same Iran whose President Ahmadinacrazyguy repeatedly has come right out and said he'd like to see Israel wiped off the map.
You remember when Michael Jackson testified(!) that "It's not sexual?" Here comes ahmadinejad with the "It's for peaceful purposes!"

Political Dissent = Public Hangings In Iran.
Did you know that, a full month later, the "revolution" in Iran has a bit of a revolution of its own to deal with, still?
No, because instead of reading independent news sources like this you are either not paying attention, or you are reading state-controlled media, with a liberty-hater as the controller.
Prime example: not one mention of (old news) Iran on the front page at CNN.com. I wonder why they are losing ratings? Well, let's see . . . what are the WORLD NEWS reporters talking about tonight?
Banner headline: 4th suspect arrested in 'methodical' slayings (local news)
Jet makes landing with football-sized hole (sensationalism)
NASA scrubs Endeavour launch 5th time (more important than revolution over stolen election)
2 in Minnesota indicted in Somali recruiting (not terrorism)
Ex-officials: Cheney getting 'bum rap' in CIA flap (Connotations of Bush=Bad, still)
Sotomayor's philosophy: 'Fidelity to the law' (Not "we all know the courts make law" like she said in speeches)
Ticker: Obama process 'ridiculous,' Clinton says (puff piece)
Anderson Cooper interviews Obama in castle (puff piece)
Ousted Honduran president gives ultimatum (hint: Obama on Communist Dictator's side here)
CNNMoney: Best small towns in U.S. (more important than revolution over stolen election)
Man sorry kin made boy, 6, work (local news)
Sears Tower offers wow moment from way up (puff piece)
SI: Fielder nabs Home Run Derby crown (more important than revolution over stolen election)
New speculation about 'Jon & Date' (more important than revolution over stolen election)
Seacrest signs major deal for 'Idol' (more important than revolution over stolen election)
LaToya Jackson makes stark allegations (puff piece)
Where is Jackson's brain? Was nose fake? (sensationalism)
50,000 bees check into luxury hotel (sensationalism)
3-legged sheep scoots on new wheels (more important than revolution over stolen election)
Texting teen falls into manhole Video (local news)
iReport.com: Bottoms up for mass mooning (puff piece)
CNN Wire: Reports: Death-penalty trial of... (you get the idea)
I used to scoff at The National Enquirer for having front pages like this. Now more than ever, though, the saying rings true: "It's not news, it's CNN.com!"

Incidentally, People Are Still Being Murdered In The Streets In Iran.
For political differences with the government. You want liberty? Here's your liberty for you! ::chop protester with a hatchet::
For those who want as close to actual reportage as possible, Pamela Gellar's Atlas Shrugs blog is a good news portal.
Unfortunately, the Iranians have figured out how to block the twitter feeds which seems to be the end of 1st person live reporting. Now, aside from the old soft-shoe from Iranian government-controlled outlets, we're left to watch the explosions from outside the country. May God (read: not allah) help the people of Iran as they struggle to be free from under the boot heel of muslim tyrants. It is evident that our President Barack Hussein Obama does not care to.
One may very well ask why, in light of the fact that they would have ratings through the roof, the state-controlled alphabet media networks in the USA have zero correspondents reporting "live from Iran . . .

For those who have missed the connection, the current bloody repression of purely political protest in Iran is a shining example of why the founders of our United States of America put in the Constitution:

Iranin Election Results: Stolen! Ahmedinejad Landslide!
Ahmedinacrazyguy is facing a good deal of civil unrest in his country, completely free of agitation by CIA officers on the ground in Iran.
They are protesting in the streets, and the military is keeping a semblance of not-completely-gone-to-sh#t for the cameras. I have just one thing to say to the protesters:
I stand behind you and your efforts to obtain liberty for yourselves and your posterity, but I do not envy your position. America has a shameful tradition of behaving like Egypt was alleged to do quite some time ago: We'll leave you to swing in the breeze. In Vietnam: we won and left. We made promises to return and help, then welshed on our word and the South was overrun by the Communists. In Iraq: we smashed the Iraqi army out of their neighbors' house, and let the Iraqi opposition think we had their backs. Then we left Hussein in power and they were all killed or "disappeared," just as we could have known would happen.
Now you have people who are plainly standing in opposition to a tyrant in Iran with the military on his side. Well, it's been nice knowing you. Good luck with that whole staying alive thing.
