The United Soviet States of America, where the press does what the government wants, because the press works for the government!
President Obama said he is for redistribution of wealth. Came right out and said it, he did! The Washington Post called the White House and they admitted it was him, but NBC News won't air the damning tape until they authenticate it. And don't hold your breath waiting for them to authenticate it.
The Fast and the Furious is a public relations nightmare for the Obama administration . . . if the Public knows about and believes the story. So it is very helpful for prominent bloggers to poo-pooh and spin the story in convincing fashion. What better way for the blogosphere to be sure to stay on-message than to coordinate their stories in e-mail communications with the Department of "Justice"?
Remember children, the ends justify the means for the leftist, and that includes perverting the press into an organ of the State so the leftist at the head of the State is held in high esteem by the general public!

Mitt Robmoney is a MOIDERAH!!
This election season is going to be pretty ugly, I'm afraid. Three months out, and we have an ad that all but points the finger of blame at Romney for the death of a woman he may never have known was alive in the first place.
Follow the bouncing ball:
Follow the bouncing ball:
- Mitt Romney worked at Bain Capital
- Bain Capital closed the plant where sumdood in the ad worked
- Sumdood lost health insurance, and his family lost the family coverage
- Sumdood's wife got sick
- She died
- Ergo, Mitt Romney KILLED HER WITH HIS OWN TWO HANDS zOMG@!!!!
- Romney wasn't running the company any longer when the plant was closed down
- The guy's wife came up sick THREE YEARS after the closure
- Somehow he can't get a job with insurance, and neither can she, in three years?
- P.S. nobody owes this guy a job, and the company couldn't be saved or Bain would have saved it like they did all the profitable companies Bain DID save.
********
They think you're stupid. My daughter asked who we were voting for, this last election. I told her Ted Cruz. She said oh, no - she saw something on TV that he was a stealer! I told her it was the guy running against Cruz that said it, and we're voting for Cruz. The ads you will see later this year are designed to appeal to either your hatred of all things not-Obama, or your sheer uneducated idiocy. Let's just hope Romney can keep his PACs off the same tactic.

The Republicans' War On Women for Dummies
That is, if you think there IS one, you ARE one.
Republicans, as a general rule, share this in common with Democrats, Greens, and Libertarians and everybody else in the country:

- They don't want women to have fewer rights or lower pay.
- Ditto for queers, disgusting fatbodies, or gimps.

The Very Question!
"What is left? If the government can do this what else can it not do?" Justice A. Scalia March 27, 2012
I cannot say how glad I was to hear with my own ears that this question was asked by one of the 9 black robed figures. Still, I pray.
********
Say all you like that health care payment is a nationwide problem, but it is still not a national problem. The payment by an individual, for the services rendered by a private company, in one State, is an individual matter - or at the most, a State matter. There is no-where a place for the federal Government to stick its nose in this business.
Hold on there
If it's a national problem, why then prior to Obamacare are we FORBIDDEN to commit ourselves to INTERSTATE COMMERCE and buy health care payment insurance across state lines?
****
I think one way to look at this set of cases is as follows: If Obamacare's individual mandate part is tossed out by the supreme Court, it is a net neutral for the 2012 election. A dramatic example of how the President is a Communist who doesn't know anything about America is offset by the national press corps telling you the REPUBLICANS STOLE YOUR HEALTH!!!!1! So, then, the election will be decided based on the price of a gallon of gasoline. Pre-election gas price drop in October in 3...2... Oh, did you not hear about the Saudis sending us a "wall of oil" because suddenly them making a profit is a problem? Let's review again, on whose watch the price of gas recently doubled, and who has prevented us from getting away from imported oil recently? Hmm....

Quote of the Day 11/08/2011
"They could have picked a less-credible woman to pull out of the woodwork, but they would have had to try." -Me, today, re Ms. Buy-a-lick
Mr. Cain did exactly the right thing*. This is now a classic he-said/she-said and I am fairly certain one of the two sayers is way more credible than the other.
QOTD #2:
"Well, he says his wife said she doesn't believe it, that's good enough for me!" -Me, today, re: Cain talking too much during today's speech
On the way in to work this morning, I was listening to the local call-in talk show, and one female caller said Bialek instantly lost all credibility when she showed up with Gloria Allred as her lawyer. A few minutes later, I switched over to the national call-in talk show, and the hostess was saying she was in a bar when the Bialek announcement was being read by a smiling "victim." She said TWO women in the bar were shaking their heads at the whole thing and one said "why does she keep talking about her boyfriend?" Then the midday talk show guy said a fresh poll puts popular interest in this story way, way below anything else.
The people see right through this. There is an OBVIOUS push for women to come forward and claim Cain did whatever, and nobody is giving them any credence. Look me in the eye and tell me you don't think this is a politically-motivated hatchet job being played out. Then tell me you believe all the "accusations" including the ones supposedly behind confidentiality agreements with no names, faces, or specific alleged actions.
Shame on the "journalists" covering this story so eagerly. Your double-standard is showing.

*Assuming he is the one telling the truth, that is.

Herman Cain and Troublesome Wymyn
Until you come up with something more substantial than un-named sources supposedly hiding behind confidentiality agreements, this is a non-story. If the story turns out to be some hag got her thong in a twist because she can't take a complement, this is a non-story. If the story turns out to be a mis-interpreted well-intentioned non-sexual ANYTHING took place, then Cain comes out the winner and Politico is (again) the Loser here.
If the supposedly offeeeeeeended female(s) involved took money in exchange for shutting up and going away, I hope they are forced to give up 100% of the money they received, if they come out from behind their confidentiality agreements. If they don't, the story is 100% dead and you can know for certain that the only reason any "news" agency reports on it is because they are terrified that Cain will actually win the White House. Need I remind you how President "Slick Willy" Bill Clinton got that nickname? Gee, I wonder which side of the political aisle the alphabet networks prefer.
I think we've all seen how little it takes to get a sexual harassment case brought up for serious consideration. Prove it is all I've got to say.

Union = Communist
It is hard for some people to make two steps of mental logic to make the connection between the communism that killed a hundred million people in the last century, and Uncle Jack who builds airplanes in Seattle.
It's not so hard to tell which side of capitalism the unions are on, though, when they are rallying on May Day and their BFFs are carrying signs like this:

Way to do your job, mainstream media! To find out about this series of photos, it took you looking at my blog, after I saw it on Mike's blog where it was linked from another blog . . . never-showing on your nightly network newscast in 3 . . . 2 . . .

The World: Gone Mad!
A couple of random Chinese tourists were walking around in UK and heard sumdood singing Kung Fu Fighting in a pub. They were offended at this blatant racism, summoned the Police, and the singer was arrested.

NPR Executive is Biased? No!
Surprising no-one who is right-thinking but occasionally listens to National Public Radio, a high muckety-muck at NPR was caught no tape being an anti-conservative and generally deriding those on the opposite side of the political aisle. Of course the other morally-upright reporters etc. at NPR were shocked, shocked I say, to know that one of them is less than perfectly unbiased. This is nothing like an organization-wide set of beliefs! One bad apple and look! he's already gone! Please continue to fund us!

Regarding The Pending Federal Government Shutdown
The press will take pleasure in describing the closure of non-essential federal offices as all sorts of horrible for the nation. Take note, when you hear it, that your life continues exactly as it did the week and month before the federal government supposedly "shut down." The welfare checks will still go out, the war will still be fought, and the BATFE will continue to intentionally not prosecute crimes perpetrated by itself. A few parks will close and some bean counters will be temporarily sent home (and paid for their time off, later, as if they had been there the whole time). The Democrats really made hay after the government ran out of budgeted money in 1994, but they need not be allowed to get away with it this time, because the ignoble New Media will be here reminding you that, even with Jellystone Park closed for a week, the tap in your kitchen will still provide you with water.
We will also be here to remind you (with our favorite talking heads on the radio) that 6 of President Reagan's 8 years in office were marked by similar government shutdowns, and EVERY year of the Carter administration was as well. These typically lasted a couple of days while the Republicrats and the Demicans hashed out their differences after realizing that one of the two sides was more serious about the budget.
IF the republicans were smart, they would get a good Message Man out there to remind everyone the government will run out of money because the DEMOCRATS first couldn't pass a budget bill to save their lives, and THEN the DEMOCRATS refused to play ball on getting the budget somewhat less-deep into the red ink. As I said, I am not optimistic the Republicans will be able to do this.
The government does basically nothing you see in your daily life. If the non-essential parts of it have to shut for a few days . . .
. . . meh.

Corruption
Uncle mentioned a couple of times in the past week how leftwing media outlets have been pushing the agenda. I was going to leave it lay as a matter of course, but he brought out another example, so I felt like giving you one of my own.
The other day, a college professor with a reasonable-person voice was being interviewed on NPR. They said it is, and I quote, a "source of corruption" that we don't subsidize fruit and vegetable crops to keep prices low so the poor, poor, pitiful poor people could afford to have some veggies. The interviewer totally failed to challenge this opinion, thereby giving tacit agreement.
. . .
Tell me after they cancel $200/month worth of cell phone and cable services how they can't afford fruits and veggies. Corruption my [deleted].

Quote of The Day 01/16/2011
The reason why someone like Daisy Khan can make the outrageous statement that "the era of extremism is over" is because ethnic cleansing, mass slaughter, Islamic supremacism and genocide is not extreme, but Islamic purity. -Pamela Gellar
She is referring to the slaughter in Iraq of 80 Christians during worship services, by peace-loving adherents to the Religion of Peace. Full story at Atlas Shrugs, with pictures. Pictures not suitable for viewing by pregnant women, children, or anyone with a weak stomach.

P.S., It can happen here, and that's why "some people" carry guns in church.
P.P.S., Why didn't you hear about this on the nightly news? It happened MONTHS ago.

Mission Accomplished: Tucson Shooting Was Bush's Fault
I was listening to NPR this morning, and got another example of how their reasonable-sounding dulcet tones sometimes hide genuine weapons-grade leftist craziness. The person on the microphone was using words that sounded sane, but they were being coo-coo. The leftists have now tried to lay the blame for the killings last weekend at the feet of President G.W. Bush and his baaaaad-ol' Republican Congressional allies. They let the good and reasonably-restrictive weapons that look like assault weapons ban expire in 2004. Therefore it was easier to get the wicked evil awful 30-round magazine the crazy person used.
I immediately pointed out (to the radio and the empty air around me) that a) high-capacity magazines were available during the ban and b) nothing was stopping the crazy person from using two guns with normal-capacity magazines anyway. This canard has been noticed by others and there are a few more reasons the argument holds no water. Hat tip: Uncle.

Surely It's A Coincidence!
The same week that George Soros says he's planning to pay the salaries of 100 reporters at National Public Radio, Juan Williams is fired for expressing a personal opinion that doesn't fit the lefty narrative of the peacefulness of the Religion of Peace.
But then, the old media lost any semblance of credibility in 2008, so why bother about a little thing like timing?

You Stay Classy, Democrats Media!
They're trying to make a big national flapdoodle over a non-issue in the California Governor's race, but when is the last time you heard a "reporter" say anything about a liar/tax cheat running for the Senate in Illinois?
Ho-hum, how very uninteresting!

Whitman Did The Right Thing(s).
Democrat party problem: Meg Whitman wins huge with the people when it comes to the important issues of the day. The obvious solution: duck the issues and try to smear her. Secondary problem: she's looking pretty clean. Solution: have an Obamunist lawyer dig up someone she fired for being an illegal ailen, as soon as she found out she was illegal, and then try to make it look like she was hiring illegals on purpose.
Problem: Whitman went out of her way to see that her housekeeper was present legally in the USA and treated and paid her well. The so-called smoking gun letter from the IRS doesn't say anything about the subject. Whitman and her husband did the right thing and dismissed the woman as soon as they discovered her illegal status. You should support her all the more for this, and I think the intelligent voters in California (ahem) will see it that way.
The press and the Democrat party (but I repeat myself) think you are stupid, so they are trying to gin up false charges. Don't fall for it, and don't vote Democrat for Governor in California again, unless you just love that perpetual $20B budget shortfall.

Another Reason To Not Buy A Chevrolet Volt
The phrase "coal powered car" is one we are trying to train into the public consciousness. The Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf are both pure coal powered cars. All of their energy is very likely to come from a plant that burns the dirtiest and cheapest fuel in the United States: coal. Coal produces more nasty [deleted] and pumps it into the air than oil, natural gas, or (perish the thought) nuclear energy generation. Coal is also a filthy thing to get out of the earth, and requires permanent removal of vast quantities of terrestrial structure to mine.
The Chevy Volt, in addition to being produced by a socialist government agency (General Motors) runs on power generated at old-style, non-carbon-sequestering coal plants. This is not changing. In an article that manages to be more about the lack of installations of budget-crushing pollution abatement equipment than the headline might imply, we find that 30 filthy old-school coal plants have been or are being built since the debate on whether tocrush the coal industry through legislative fiat tax carbon emissions kicked off. You know why? Because we need more power generation stations and the power generating industry knows that alternative sources just can't cut it.
Note: there are no carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, or other harmful emissions from a nuclear electricity generation facility. Nowhere did they mention this in this anti-coal article.

Mexican Invasion. No, A Real one, With Guns And Soldiers.
Los Zetas have taken over a privately owned ranch in Texas. This was covered up and apparently it is about to be blasted into your consciousness by the New Media.
Hint: if armed gangs start saying they run the show in the USA, it's time to break out the Rangers. Texas or U.S. Army, you pick it, but somebody needs to catch a .308 for this, and it better be a [deleted] drug gang member or ten.
You didn't hear about it before, because it doesn't fit the narrative. Mexicans are peaceful, hard workers, who only want an opportunity they can't have in their native country. Criminals taking over your ranches won't get the Amnesty idea any more popular so weeeeee'l just not report on it, okay?

Speak For Yourself There, Pal!
~or, Falling for The Trap~
Laura Ingraham has left her job and children behind to go on a promotional tour for her new book. Today she had a stand-in host who mentioned a story I had previously ignored on purpose. It seems some neonazis are doing the jobs the American (government) people won't do, and finally the MSM has a finger to point.
So anyway, this host says '"You" don't want some white supremacist neo nazi group patrolling the border with guns!' My response (to the radio) was: "Sure I do!" Look, I don't care if it's the Black Japanese Nazi Transgendered Transexual Lesbians for Jesus down on the border, I want SOMEBODY on the border, with GUNS, to keep murderous drug gangs out of the United States of America! Let them wear white hoods and strap-on 'marital aids', just so long as they hold down the fort!
********
This is a trap. It's a ruse, even. President Obama wants to have amnesty for 30 million illegal aliens before the next Presidential election, and the only way to make it happen is to get a bill passed before the next Congressional election. The press is to happy to try to get you to want to side with the President on immigration issues. The President's side is "we are not going to enforce the border without you (Republicans) granting amnesty to the people who cross it illegally." The press, therefore, has to do something difficult. They have to convince 85% of the nation (who are against illegal immigration) that they are wrong. One way to convince you that you are wrong is to conflate your right-headed conclusions with wrong-headed people who share the same conclusions. Follow the bouncing ball:
These guys are racists and nazis and bad
These guys want armed patrols on the border so bad they are doing it themselves
You are not a racist and nazi and bad
Therefore, you do not want to prevent drug gangs from entering the country to spread the drug wars farther north!
It sounds ridiculous when it is actually spelled out, but that is the subtext when news like this (the story I deliberately didn't write about the day it crossed the wires) is published.
They have been looking so hard for somebody who is against the President's agenda to be a genuine racist, and then this (very small) group of people is discovered. Here we have genuine racists doing things that sound vaguely illegal and scary, and you really don't want to be associated with them, now do you? Of course not! Now, just come back over to the "don't enforce the border" side of the aisle and voteDemocrat yes on amnesty as part of comprehensive immigration reform!
The reason this is a bad choice of examples for the MSM is that the persons in question are not right-wingers. They are National Socialist types (Nazis = National Socialist Party). Socialism is the far-LEFT side of the political spectrum. Socialism is the same part of the political spectrum where you find President Obama, and even amongst THOSE people you find enough patriotism to want the border enforced! Do NOT be intimidated away from the message by this story.
What's the message?
ENFORCE THE BORDER before you even start talking about immigration reform. Shut it off to illegal aliens on foot as well as in trucks driven by coyotes, and push the drug wars back South where they came from. Do it in a verifiable way, and give it a year or two. THEN we'll start talking about speeding up the legal immigration process. You don't get to mix the two into one bill. I had rather hoped the last immigration reform bill's crushing defeat (due to popular outrage) a few years ago would have taught a few Democrats the message, but as Hannity says: There ARE NO moderate Democrats these days.

Arizona Law Working Great, Still Not Even Implemented!
This speaks volumes about the complete contempt that the Federal government has had for the past couple of decades for 1/3 of our country (borders, language, culture).
The mere threat of enforcement of a law that mirrors Federal law, when Federal law has been an open joke all these years, is enough to send hundreds of thousands of people packing. I would link up the Yahoo!/Reuters article on the subject but it's full of misleading phrasing and half-truths so I'll leave the link out. It's not even worth the trouble to fisk the article but this will give you an idea of the quality, 100% pure unbiased journalism:
Well [deleted] welcome to my world baby. I've been sad and angry that you and your parents flouted the law and disrespected my country for so long. Don't let the doorknob hit you on the way out.
